Heartland Herds was created out of a love for agriculture, livestock, and the idea of building something that our family could be proud of. We aren't trying to be the biggest operation. We're trying to build the right one.
Every animal we raise represents an investment of time, work, and care. We believe that effort shows up in the quality of the product and in the relationships we build with our customers.
At the end of the day, Heartland Herds is about more than selling meat. It's about raising good livestock, supporting local agriculture, and giving families a chance to know the story behind their food.

Heartland Herds is a family-owned farm in West Michigan focused on raising quality livestock with care, respect, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
What started as a passion for agriculture and raising livestock has grown into Heartland Herds, with a simple goal: provide families with high-quality, locally raised meat while giving them a connection to the farm and the people behind their food.
We believe good food starts with how animals are raised. Our livestock are treated with care, given room to grow, and raised with an emphasis on their health and well-being. We take pride in knowing where our animals come from, how they are cared for, and ultimately where the food we provide to our customers comes from.

Our Farm
Heartland Herds is a small-scale farm built around raising livestock responsibly and providing a direct connection between the farm and our customers.
We raise cattle and are continuing to expand our livestock operation over time. Rather than trying to become the biggest farm, our goal is to build something sustainable that allows us to maintain a high level of care for our animals and a personal relationship with the people who purchase from us.
We believe there is something special about knowing the farmer who raised your food. That's why we enjoy working directly with customers and helping them understand the process from raising livestock to putting quality beef on their family's table.

Our vision for Heartland Herds is to build a respected local farm and brand that families can trust for quality, locally raised meat.
Over time, we want Heartland Herds to become more than just a farm. We want it to be a place where people can reconnect with agriculture, understand where their food comes from, and feel confident about the products they are bringing home to their families.
We plan to continue growing thoughtfully, adding livestock and products as the farm develops, while never losing sight of what got us started: raising animals the right way and providing good food to our community.
